ORADIM.EXE Problem [message #546329]

Dear All,
I am facing problem when i connect oracle or delete an instance or create an instance that oradim.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I tried to resolve the issue but in vain. Can any one please help me regarding this problem. Its a challenge for me as i am working in public sector.

Hard to tell with what you posted.
Which OS version are you running?
Which Oracle version (up to 4 decimals)?
Is there anything in Windows application event log?

Windows XP what? Be specific.
Right-click on the server icon, choose Properties and post the System part.

For Oracle, post the result of "select * from v$version".

Dear Sir operating system version is XP professional 2002 SP-2 and oracle version Oracle database 10G Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0.

I suggest nothing as I neither know the error nor the origin of the problem.
Anti-virus?
Wrong Windows Installation?

Oh, I see one reason! you MUST be in SP3.

But sir onething i want to mention here is that,
Initially it was working fine after few days it gives an error of Oradim.exe
both on creating a new instance and also on deletion of current instance.
I will try to install SP3 it may resolve the problem.

As SP2 is explicitly not supported there can be an error at any moment even if it works for a while.
