Hi,
i am receiving following in alert log

Fatal NI connect error 12170.

TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out
ns secondary err code : 12560
nt main err code : 505



kindly guide ,is there anything at my database side

TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out
 *Cause: The requested operation could not be completed within the time out
 period.
 *Action: Look at the documentation on the secondary errors for possible
 remedy. See SQLNET.LOG to find secondary error if not provided explicitly.
 Turn on tracing to gather more information.

Thank you for your reply sir as i am not experience dba so kindly le you can let of know the path where i can look at sqlnet.log.

Hi i did not found sqlnet.ora so i can see where the sqlnet.log file is so can u advice me on this

try to replace the server name with the IP address in your tnsnames.ora file

This isn't a problem, it's expected behaviour in 11g if you enable ADR logging. All described in note 1286376.1, with the method to disable it.
