We have two tablespace xyz_ts & pqr_ts having 167 datafiles
We have to reduce this number of files. These tablespace having 580 GB size
Please suggest the best workaround for this activity.

Create new tablespaces and move the objects to these ones then delete the previous tablespaces (and possibly rename the new ones if names are important for you).
Of course you will say you have not the double of space, and I will answer you can move the objects file per file, so you don't need not so much adding space.

Regards
Michel
