hi,
i search the forums and not sure this is proper forum to place my question so sorry for that if it is a wrong forum.
i have an issue with newly crated LUN. SAN administrator created a 200GB LUN but i cant see it at DB side we have NetApp 3140 filer and i run this command ./sanlun lun show at path /u01/app/11.2.0/grid/bin" but i can see only existing LUNs . i confirmed from SAN admin and he said i created the LUN successfully.

can any one guide in this regard that what is missing at my side

You're right this may not be the correct forum. We are an Oracle forum.

At Oracle side, the LUN (Unix disk) must be owned by oracle:dba and the path should match asm_diskstring ASM parameter, if this is a disk you want to add to ASM and a database.

In addition, as you are in RAC, the LUN must be shared between the servers.

yes, thank you but i cant see it in UNIX .once seen it then no problem to add to DB but i need help why i do not see it in UNIX
