Hi all,

I am Oracle DBA.I am planning to write 10g OCA in this month.I am in little confusion that, need i have to write two exams(i.e 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-042) to get OCA.Need i have to write the exams on different days?

My doubt is because some websites stating only to write 1Z0-042 to get OCA but education.oracle.com is stating i need to write (1Z0-051 + 1Z0-042) to get OCA

so which exam should i have 2 write please4 suggest me

If you check the following page, you'll see that both exams are required for OCA

For
Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Associate
,you have to write
EXAM
1Z0-001 Introduction to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL (retired)
or
1Z0-007 Introduction to Oracle9i SQL®
or
1Z0-047 Oracle Database SQL Expert
or
1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I

And

EXAM

1Z0-042 Oracle Database 10g: Administration I

And I prefer 1Z0-047 and 1Z0-042 to get Certified (OCA)

Hi - there really is no point in doing the 10g OCA, it is years out of date and you can't upgrade OCA to 11g. So you'll have to do the 10g OCP exam, and then the 11g OCP upgrade. Much better to do the 11g core exams, they aren't so very different from 10g.

Hi Ram,

I know that following dumps are illegal u don't need to suggest me

i gone through the documentation of exams provided by oracle

just think how many of us are writing exams without dumps or some

irrelevant activities like writing another person in place of

candidate.

I am not asking for latest dumps just i am asking questions to

prepare and exam pattern

This is one of the Reason Oracle tied-up with "Pearson-vue".

I don't understand the attitude here. An exam is about $150 and takes two hours. This isn't exactly a massive investment. Just do one. Book it now, do it on Monday. Do both of them, if you aren't sure.

As he is from INDIA ,it is Rs 5845.
And By writing 1Z0-047 he will become SQL Certified Expert
