Oracle Reports Version Conflict [message #539613]

Hi,

In our office one of our pc was worn out and d2k source
files in the server were not able to open in another system for that we need to install the below D2k6i Version of Report;

Report Builder 6.0.8.24.0

if we try to open the file it shows the below error

"Warning: Opening a report saved with a newer version of Report Builder. Functionality may be lost. Continue? "

Currently we are using "Report Builder 6.0.8.11.3"
is it possible to download the 6.0.8.24 version?

Pls Help...

Not possible, as far as I can tell, but you might contact Oracle and ask them to provide it.

Or - as it said - "functionality may be lost" - open it anyway and see what happens. Functionality might not be lost, after all. Problems would be much greater if you intended to open a 10g report with 6i Reports Builder, but these versions (different on 4th decimal) are rather close to each other.

Yes littlefoot i like to know whether the functionality of the report will be lost?

and as you say i can try to open it and don't mind about the functionality because the versions were not that much Newer
and its very close to that version.
