Do any of you clever chaps know how Tivoli Identity Manager interacts with Oracle for managing users?

Obviously most of the TIM documentation is marketing blurb, but I found a document about an 'Oracle Adapter' which looks like a jdbc connection to each database with super-duper privileges.

Do you know if this just fires of loads of create/drop/alter user commands?

So if I add my Application Support user group to a selection of databases, it creates 30 separate users on each of my databases and manages there roles and passwords? Or is it cleverer?
