Hi All,

Could you please tell me that in Oracle 11g, information regarding voting disk location is stored in which file ?

I know that we can use "crsctl query css votedisk" to see the location of voting disk, but from which file or place this command
pick the information ?

When the CSS daemon discovers the ASM devices, it will identify which ones contains the vote discs.

Hi John,

Thanks for your response.

It means, as with OCR we can identify the location without the clusterware is running using the "ocr.loc" file, there is no such way to identify the location of Vote disk.

Also could you please let me know if voting disk are stored on cluster file system like OCFS, in that case, I think voting disk location is stored in OCR itself.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I've really no idea, I've never installed Grid Infrastructure without using ASM. The obvious places are the OCR, the OLR, and the profile.xml file.

What do you mean? The above command will tel you the location of your file? did you executed ? Or looking something ?
