rman backup restoration [message #525065]

Hi,

I got Saturday rman level 0 backup and sunday, monday, tuesday & Wednesday level 1 backup.

I got some issue and i have to restore the backup with minimum data loss.

Thus i request if you please suggest me path for restoration of the backup. We can restore 1st level 0 backup, but how to apply others level 1 backup on that.

is/was DB have archive mode enabled.
which version of Oracle to 4 decimal places?

You can do it with NO data loss.

You have nothing to know or think just:

restore database;
recover database;

Of course, it you are using RMAN, and I don't see any reason you shouldn't.

Shall i need to apply level 1 backup one by one.. or it will restore backup at once ..??

You do not need to apply anything, as I said, just execute the 2 commands I posted, RMAN does the rest, RMAN does know what it has to restore, RMAN does know what it has to recover (for most cases, if you want to know how to do it in all cases read Database Backup and Recovery Advanced User's Guide).
