Hi,
I am trying to upgrade the oracle 9.2.0.8 database in oracle 11.2.0.2. I have installed the new oracle home for 11g and after running the pre-upgrade script and setting the all environment variable like oracle base, oracle home, oracle sid and ora_nls
i am running the dbua but after click on finish button it's do the processing of 2% but after that i get

ORA-12709 error while loading create
database character set
--------------------------------------------------
Can you please suggest work around for the same

Thanks for your response
There is no other error and i have just tried to upgrade manually and it' done without any issue but i need to upgrade it through dbua and getting the same message
Please suggest

i have just found the message in preupgrade.log

No Alert file generated and no other error. I just found the ORA-12709 in trace file

The alert.log ALWAYS exists. It is created the first you start the instance as your database already exists the alert.log too.
