I just started some testing for the update to 11.2.0.2, and after Installing I found that there are no longer 32bit libraries included in the install, like there were in the standard 10.2 and 11.1 install.

Since we still have a few 32bit executables that need to connect to that DB, I wonder if there is a more "lightweight" way to get those. The "Offical" info seems to be (here and on Support Doc ID 1075717.1) that an additional 32bit 11.2.0.2 "client" has to be installed into a different Oracle home. But the ONLY 11.2.0.2 Download I can find is the 5GB Server download again, so before I start THAT over night, has anyone run into that issue and found a "simpler" solution?

Or some "Client Only" download option that is buried somewhere in the My Oracle Support mess?

OK, it's solved:

Downloaded *just* the instantclient-basic-linux32-11.2.0.2.0.zip, and put all the files that were in that zip into an $ORACLE_HOME/lib32 directory of the 11.2 install. Now our applications can connect with the same settings and environments that we use under 10.2.
