Hi,

I have a doubt in Oracle database version i am using.

when i give sqlplus bala/pwd@DAM.SBC.COM from windows run prompt, i get

I know` i am using Oracle 11G version but still i have doubt as why i see 10.2.0.1.0 version in sqlplus connection.

THANKS following Posting Guidelines!

issue following OS commands

id
env | sort

COPY commands & results then PASTE all back here

PATH environmental variable needs to be adjusted/fixed/corrected.

you are using V10 software on Windows client to access V11 DB on HPUX

"env | sort" is missing but it obvious you have 2 home with 2 different versions a client in 10.2 and a server in 11.1.
