Dear All,

Oracle database installed at two-node Linux cluster (OS cluster).
I want to take cold backup of database but when I shutdown database , after a few times,I found database already startup.
There fore I couldnot take backup.
please help me how I take cold backup database.

Check if you have any deamon that restart the database when it sees it down.
As this is an OS cluster and not an Oracle one, this is more an OS question (and daemon).

Dear Michel,

Thanks a lot.
I collect cluster configuration file and I see at the end of configuration line which was
failoverdomain name="fodom" ordered="1" restricted="0"
script file="/etc/init.d/db" name="oracle_db"
where i found description about deamon that start database automatically.
