Hi,

I have installed the oracle 10g Database. and after that I buy the license of oracle database.

So kindly let me know how can we use the same license. license is cpu based.

Hi Michal,

we have just tested an application based on oracle 10g DB. now we are going to make that application live. So before making this application for normal user access, company purchased license of oracle 10g DB. and when we are checking this license this is cpu based license.

So I want to ask I have already created and database and data has been in the DB. now I got the license.

So how can we use this license. in which way ..

There is nothing to do to use or not, just use Oracle with the server corresponding to the bought license.

The licence is documented by the Invoice your company receives from Oracle.

It is not a bit of software or a key that has to be installed into the ORACLE_HOME. It is a legal document that covers usage.

Thus, a 4 CPU licence allows you to use the database on a server that cannot have more than 4 CPUs.
Actually, Oracle licenses the software by "Processor" (not "CPU")
