Hi,

I have configured oracle listener at Non-Default port 1526.
Is it mandatory to mention LOCAL_LISTENER parameter at pfile?

LOCAL_LISTENER='listenerr_alias'

Thanks -
P

Why?

no, listener is NOT required to have online & operational Oracle RDBMS.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. As the port 1526 is avaible at my organisation to configure oracle. Also at oracle documentaion it clearly stated that we need to configure LOCAL_LISTENER parameter of it is a non-default port.

Thanks-
P
