Hello,
i need help to clone my oracle binary from hostA to hostB, in order to make up my DB in the host B Confused Confused

see bellow the necessary information:



source :
version host:HP-UX hostA B.11.11
db : Release 9.2.0.8.0

destination :
HP-UX hostB B.11.31

- Create the oracle user with identical settings to hostA on hostB.
- Copy all Oracle files from hostA to hostB to identical path locations.

but how about oraInventory , i dont know if i can use this command :

./runInstaller -clone -silent -ignoreSysPrereqs ORACLE_HOME="/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0.1" ORACLE_HOME_NAME="OHOME10" ( Release 9.2.0.8.0 )

Normally the Oracle Inventory is inside $ORACLE_BASE, so you have already copied it over 1:1.

No need to run ./runInstaller at all then.
