Why do you not directly query the remore database?

Why? Your purpose is to execute the query in remote database isn't it?

Michel

I really want is to transfer data between separate databases across xml files
Do your book or project that may help me in this??

Second:

I think nothing as I don't understand what you have and what you want.
More, I don't see where the database is involved in " I want to send XML file contains a query from one to the other , that read query and return results to a first via XML file".
For me, all these are part of a program not of the database(s).

The sentence "is to transfer data between separate databases across xml files" is for me meaningless: you transfer file across servers not across databases.

Explain in DETAILS, step by step what you want to achieve.

Michel

Hi Michael
I started to read and learn about XML databases
So I will start working for myself but I have a query
In general: Is it better to deal with database external xml files or should be included within a XMLtype column??

XML is to database
as bicycle is to fish.

In general, it depends on what you want to do.
In general, it is better to NOT use XML.
