Hi,

Can someone please explain me this question abt online backup done thru RMAN.

Suppose i am taking online backup of full database. During the backup, user's are inserting/deleting/modifying data. This data is getting stored as online archives. Once the database backup is finished, how these archives are applied to the database to make the database up to date.

NOTE: I am not using recovery catalog

Thanks,

Not completely correct.
Data continues to be written to regular data files so nothing additional needs to be done after RMAN completes.

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/
