Hi Experts i have one doubt Please clarify

Which config file is used to change the os version(RHEL 4.0 to RHEL 5.5) by OS admin what will be its impact on ORACLE Databases.

Just check if your Oracle version is compatible with your new OS one.
Verify there is no change in OS file in new OS version.

if 9.2.0.7.0 is compatible with os version (RHEL 4) and (RHEL 5.5) so you mean to say that a running database wont be affected if the root users(unix admin) change the os version from say RHEL 4 to RHEl 5.5?

By no impact I mean it will work, not it will have the same performances.
