im new to oracle administration.
how to get back the table tht is dropped suddenly,,using time based recovery.

please help me!!

Posting the Oracle Version/OS you are using will be extremely useful always.
With recent versions, the table may still be available in recyclebin.
You can just flash back.
To recover the whole database, you first need a backup along with archived logs.

hi,

im using 10g.

drop table emp purge;

for dropping.we can't go for flashback;

can i get back the emp table again?any other way to get back the table??

So you dropped it real good.
Restore/Recover your database elsewhere and get the table
else
You need to restore the DB to the point prior to backup.

Have you ever tried out logminer utility , this is one part {If the database is real big }
2) Flash back database {Second option}
3) Restore/Recover your database elsewhere and get the table
