I am using Oracle 11.5.10 ebusiness suite.
I have modified a custom report (an rdf) that it now picks up field xx for the address rather than POH_SHIP_ADDRESS_LINE1..
I modified the template.rtf and uploaded it using the responsibility Oracle XML publisher.
However instead of getting the field value in the report. I get XX (i.e. the field name not the field value).
How can I ensure that the report picks up the value?

Here are the answers to your questions and hopefully a clear explanation of the problem below.
Thanks a lot for your help.
1. Previously you were using rdf?
There is an .rdf field which is run - but the output is defined in an rtf
2. Now you have changed that to rtf (XML Publisher)?
The person who last modified the .rdf did that - whoever he or she is
3. What is your xml output file is showing the data for that field?
It is templatename.xml
4. What is the field you have introduced (Default Text)
and what is the value/tag your have given in Add Help Text in the form field?

There is a customised report that I have been asked to change.
I added the new field new_field to the the .rdf and it runs fine but the field new_field does not appear..
I found that the output is defined not in the .rdf but in the template which I can modify via the .rtf which is stored
in XML Publisher -> Templates.
I downloaded the template.rtf. One problem :-
1) How do I create a new XML data source which has new_field plus so all the existing fields so that I can add it to the
other fields.
