when we specify destination of backup (in default flash recovery area ), then what the "formatd slash /" implied in the whole path
does it have some specific meaning.

e.g in windows

C:\oracle\product\10.2.0/flash_recovery_area

The slash is just a directory delimiter, Windows lets you use either forward or backward slashes (unlike Unix):

c:\>
c:\>
c:\>cd c:/oracle/flash_recovery_area

c:\oracle\flash_recovery_area>
c:\oracle\flash_recovery_area>cd c:\oracle

c:\oracle>cd c:/oracle\flash_recovery_area

c:\oracle\flash_recovery_area>

I think it is customary to use back slashes with Windows (and it must be forward slashes with Unix.)
