Do you consider migrating SAP/Oracle to a different database?[ 5 votes ]
1. Who cares, we will remain on SAP/Oracle. 3 / 60%
2. We are migrating from Oracle to DB2. 1 / 20%
3. We will rather use a different database. 1 / 20%

A court ordered SAP AG to pay Oracle $1.3-billion for software theft. For details, see http://www.iol.co.za/business/companies/sap-ordered-to-pay-oracle-1.876048

As a result SAP changed their "preferred database" from Oracle to DB2 and IBM is also trying their level best to exploit the situation.

How does this impact your organization? If you previously used SAP/Oracle, do you now consider a DB2 migration or have you decided to remain on Oracle?

I think DB2 is much cost effective than Oracle. Interms of complexity too.
