Sirs/ Madame:

Our HR production database crashes due to hardware failure from Oct. 18 to 22, 2010. It was restored using an Oct. 8 offline backup last Nov. 3 using BRTools (with assistance from SAP Consultant). It's already running since last week but as of this date it encountered a datafile corruption which resulted to this error:
"Database mounted.
ORA-01122: database file 11 failed verification check
ORA-01110: data file 11: '/oracle/PRD/sapdata2/sr3_8/sr3.data8'
ORA-01200: actual file size of 210068 is smaller than correct size of 256000 blocks"

Although I've read many Oracle forums on database recovery but I have not yet experienced it (meaning, I can execute it easily via command line, but I don't know how it will affect the database-- maybe it could restart the db or it would be more disastrous than it's current state). We don't have RMAN tools to recover it, the BRTools have been failing and our last good offline backup was dated Oct. 8, 2010.

Could you give me a step-by-step procedures on how to do it? I guess it's our only option for now.

Thank you very much.
