Hello,

Need a clarification on the below doubt.

If we do structural changes of online Redo Log, like Rename/Add/Drop. We need to take a backup.

Question 1:
Do we need to take a backup of online Redo also (case of Non - Archive), or only the control file is enough.

Question 2:
Do we need to do log switch before taking the backup of control file. And please tell me the procedures if anything has to perform more than this.

Thanks in prior.

Question 3:
I'm not able to get the control file backup trace file in UDUMP.

Question 4:
Logically we need only one Redo group, if we are not running in Archive log mode. Is it true?

Question 5:
How we can set Time-based manner in Logswitch.

Thanks in prior.

Thanks but what I wanted is if you understood all the points or if there is something not clear.
For instance, have you now the answer to question 5?

Michel
