HI,

Could someone please tell me how to increase the library cache size as there is lot of free space in shared pool.

I guess incresing the size of shared pool is one option. Since, there is atleast 180-210MB free space, is the above option a good one?

Please advice.

SQL> select * from v$sga;

NAME                     VALUE
-------------------- ---------
Fixed Size               52144
Variable Size        346710016
Database Buffers     701235200
Redo Buffers           4104192

Why do you think you need to increase it and not another part of SGA?

I have been observing since last few days that the library cache miss rate is increasing slowly all day. I guess this might be the problem. Please advice ..

It is automatic you have nothing (although you have a so old version that I don't remember exactly what is the algorithm in this version).
Anyway, you still don't know if you have any REAL problem.
