What is wrong here? Is it me, or is the original question a very sound and normal question?
Even after explaining why he asks, people act weird.
@davholla: I know that some major companies in Brasil work with Oracle Applications, however I don't know anyone personally that works with it as a technician. I only know some end users.

Thanks anyway. I am glad that you could understand the question.
From some of the reactions you'd have thought that I wanted to look for a job with Oracle in Antarctica!

And what's to say he hasn't?
Marketplace exists to help people find oracle jobs, I really don't understand why you're making such a fuss about this.

Bearing in mind the responses last time I asked, reopening this thread could be a bad idea.
However I am an optimist -does anyone know any companies that use Oracle in Colombia? Ideally consultancies.

Hi, man - I just googled "KPMG Colombia", and up came www.kpmg.com.co. I'm sure all the big consultancies will operate in Colombia, and they all have an Oracle practice. I would email (or telephone might be better) to find out who runs their Oracle consulting, and send in a CV.
Try them all! KPMG, Accenture, the Medellin Cartel, there'll be an opening somewhere.

Good idea - apart from the Medellin Cartel
a) they don't exist any more
b) if you don't need to worry about auditing etc why use Oracle?

Since it is the best database around, why not if one isn't probably planning on paying fees anyway..
It's not like Larry would ... oh wait, it's Larry we're talking about... never mind
