One Suggestion Quick Reply should not accept empty message (not even spaces)

If you Just click "Post quick Reply: it comes up with message No Message Body.

Next Post ( Reply) is to just to show same.

I believe the regular reply has the same behavior. Sometimes people post a brief question as the topic and don't post a message body.

For example, on dBforums, there's a restriction that you can't post a message that is shorter than 10 characters. Which is annoying, sometimes. For example, when the answer is a simple "AUDIT", you have to add something more, to fit into that silly 10 characters.

Here, a "No Message Body" is easily resolved by moderators, if necessary.

There was an error

"Your message is too short. The minimum length is 5 characters."

Thanks for the update

Hm. How will we post a "Yes", now?
- Yes, of course.
- Yesss
- Yes._
- Yes, indeed.

"No" will be even more difficult.

I was just about to create thread asing where the minimum has come from after trying to reply to a thread with a simple Yes.
Do we really need this restriction? I rarely see blank messages.

Maybe we should keep the restriction, but reduce it to 2 characters?

PS: I will fix the issue with spaces later today.

Yes we should keep the restriction,
Long back FRANK deleted a message completely while merging two topics (accidentally).
So at this kind of situation this restriction help us.

IF you deleted the total content of the message ,it wont allow you to post the empty message, right ?
Atleast it will warn you that there is no message...

Hope you got it now.

Do you really think that I removed the content of the message, while I was merging two threads?

I know that at some point the contents of a merge was gone. What I mean was do you really think that I did an edit and removed the text?

I think that could happen, when if somebody clicks on the delete button of the first message after merging (even for without merging).
