Data Security During network [message #465655]

Hi
My Database Server is in another location in America.
Now i am accessing the data from that DATABASE.

I want to know that if we fire any query what ORACLE will do for secure the DATA during transfer of data in through NETWORK any encryption will happen or any security so that no one can hack the data between the network.

Not by default.
Within oracle either you encrypt the data
or
encrypt the in-flight data between Oracle Native Clients (sqlnet encryption).
In application end, you can use SSL.

Oracle does nothing unless you tell it and pay for it (ASO option).

FIRST you will be accessing data through secure network ? Do you ?

your company must have invested on firewall and other infra.
