Hi,

While checking the memory parameters in shared pool, i found that at any given time, approx 170M memory is free. Can i use this to increase the library cache misses(it is >1%). To lower this miss, i need to increse shared pool size. Since, there is free memory always, i was wondering can i use it instead of increasing shared pool memory?

Best Regards,

I doubt there is NO intersection between V8.1.7 Oracle & Windows 2003 server.
V8 Oracle was obsoleted before V2003 was released.
So you are free to fantasize any solution you want.
