Hi,

I'm using Oracle 10g without RMAN Configuration.

Cold backup is taken every day.

A clarification .... When it's safe to delete old archive logs or do we need to retain all the old archive logs till a resetlog occurs in the db.

Tks.

How do you know what's the old archivelog?
The daily cold backup was made by statement "backup ... plus archivelog ..." or not?

You should use RMAN to define what are obsoleted, expired archivelog. Their information are located in RMAN repository
