I have just noticed follwing "Quick Reply" new feature on ORAFAQ.

It will be added advantage if we add "Spell-Check-Message " button to Quick reply.

Hit "preview" to go to the advanced editor if you need to spell check. Alternatively, use a decent browser like Firefox that can spell check as you type.

One question : I have started "New Features in ORAFAQ (merged) " Post.

1/ And now after merged IT is showing the post is by djmartin
2/ And Date/Time of the post is perfect Match Fri, 07 May 2010 01:24

I am not complaing but I think this is Bug in "merged"

and since this post was the only post why it was merged?
is it BUG in site ?

It is not the only post, djmartin started a topic shortly before you with a name I didn't remember exactly but was something like "Quick Reply feature".
When I merged I choosed to keep the "New Features in OraFAQ" to let the topic lives long, far after "Quick Reply" will be no more a "new" feature.

Thanks Michel for "Quick Reply" , that answer my doubt Very Happy

and btw "With" this new feature its lot more easy and quick to reply to any post then earlier.( which I personally think was bit time consuming.)

First time I have noticed that two threads had the same 'hours:minutes'. I assume that the difference at the 'second' level was used to determine the order.

It would be nice that when you press the 'Post Reply' button any text that has already been entered into the 'Quick Reply' was brought over to the new screen.

Yes I agree, I erased the content of my answer a couple of times clicking on "POST REPLY" instead of "Post Quick Reply".

I made my first reply in 2 weeks in the 'Quick Reply' box and pressed the 'Post Reply' button. Poof!! All gone!

Can we please have our text moved to the next screen when we press 'Post Reply' as we do when we press 'Preview Quick Reply'?

This is because "Quick Reply" doesn't know you (yet). Just kidding.

But, wouldn't that feature (text moved to the next screen) cancel the whole idea of quick replying? The "next screen" is what we have had anyway (an ordinary "reply" button).

Do not disable it, please. It is perfect for short messages (that don't require formatting, previews and similar).

I noticed that if you use Chrome you can just "press" the "back" button and the entered text Is still there.
Thou when using IE the text disappears.

Heh, the organization I work for right now still uses IE6. I however swindled some admin rights and installed Firefox years ago.

End of contract. Five and a half years. 30 June is a very typical end-date here in Australia as it is the end of financial year here.

So I am back into the market looking for another position.

That is the LONG contract, Somehow in US people gets converted as Permanent Employee after 2+ years. ( its common trend I have seen ).
