Dear all,

I am using Oracle DB 10g R2. Now when i want to connect with this database ,i can not connect. The following message given.
" The database is either shutdown or open in progress" But the database does not open.

How to solve this problem . please help me. Very urgent.

Post Operating System (OS) name & version for DB server system.

CUT lines below then PASTE into command/terminal window

sqlplus
/ as sysdba
shutdown abort
startup
exit


CUT commands and results then PASTE all back here
