I've try install oracle 8i(8.1.7.0)
Seem like everything is ok, till it on doing Configulation tools
Net8 configuration Assistance the status is in Progress..
I filling that it's idle nothing move on further, no error, no message more than 2 hrs.
anyone pls. help. what should i do for solve this problem

Not exceptional to get this with 8i installer, abort the assistant and reexecute it ouside the installer (or better write your configuration files with notepad).
Of course, it should be better if you use a version that was designed in this century. I bet you use it in a not-supported platform (Windows version).

I have set the server by use VM-Ware , window 2000
Is it that the reason?
What version of window that compatibility with oracle8i(8.1.7.0.0)?

Could be, Oracle 8i never be made to run on VM.
