Hi,

I need to perform the rman backup and restore using two machine in my network

Where machine1 consist of the linux OS with 11g database
And machine2 consist the linux OS

Now i need to take backup of the database using RMAN from machine1 to the disk in machine2

So by using the NFS i have mounted a folder from machine2 to machine1

that is(the folder named /forbkp from machine2 is mounted to /rmnbkp in machine1)

Is it possible for RMAN tool to backup the database to the destination folder /rmnbkp folder?

Please provide me some help
