Dear All,

i m running 10g database in linux machine, database running fine
when i check for listner.ora $oracle_home/network/admin

there is no sutch file, then how oracle running without listner.ora

please explain.

It just does not need it.
listener.ora is needed if you want to specify a listener, and if you want it with non-default parameters.

Thanks Mr.Michel

i need to connect sqlserver database from my oracle server, so in that case i need to edit listner.ora file correct?

then give me the solution, and one more thing please let me know how to configure the ODBC driver in my linux machine

i dont have idea, please explain
