Hi,

We are using oracle 10.2.0.2 on Solaris 5.9 on SPARC based server and now we have to move this database to Suse linux 5.10 on 10.2.0.4 on Intel server. Current database is on ASM and we are taking the backup through RMAN.

Can anybody provide me the steps to move the database to another server?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Harsh

Depends on Volume.
If the database is small, just export and import.
Else, if volume is large you cannot afford the downtime,
use RMAN cross platform migration.
You may need to upgrade your sparc database to 10.2.0.4 first.
Check the docs.
