Dear All,

Hope you are doing great.I was trying oracle heterogeneous services to connect oracle database to mysql database using ODBC driver.I am able to connect MySQL through oracle and fetch data. But VARCHAR columns of MySQL are not fetched properly using heterogeneous services and ODBC but numeric and DATE fields are fetched properly.Have anybody got this issue??

I am looking for some useful links if you can provide

Thanks & Regards,
Rajat

What do you mean by "not fetched properly".
Perhaps you should explain more in detail and provide an example.

Hi tapush,

Well when i use

select * from table all columns except varchar are fetched.
it seems that ODBC driver is not recongnizing the varchar
columns.
when i do a desc then also varchar columns are omitted.

It seems some kind of driver issue.i searched on net and
found that i have to set charset of the driver but i have
found no option for it.

Regards,
Rajat
