Hi ,

I have a question on CPU utilization.

If database is hang due to high CPU utilization ,how to find
which queries are consuming more resources in terms of CPU
in Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Similarly, can you tell me how to monitor daily and weekend database backups
that is scheduled in OEM ?

Thanks for the link.It was useful.I followed the document for managing database backup.

Steps i followed:

In the database home page i clicked maintenance tab.inside that page ,
there was a section called manage current backups. when i clicked it ,
im unable to open that page as it is taking more time.

Can you tell why it is taking that much time?? Any idea..

You may want to check the OEM logs in %ORACLE_HOME%\<hostname_sid>\sysman\log and see if they indicate any problems.

In MANAGE CURRENT BACKUP page, it lists all the backup details
like completion of the backup,contents ,device type ,status etc.
But im looking for a page where i would like to view the schedule backup like..
at what time backup starts and ends daily/monthly, how long the backup will takes.etc.....

Thanks Ebrian,

Under archive logs section i dont see any archive log files generated so far.

In Intialization parameter , i could see only archive log path
and i dont see Archive log mode parameter.

Could you tell what could be the reason for this.

If you perform "alter system archive log current;" in SQL*Plus, do you see an archivelog listed in the Archive Log section ?

I don't know of a specific OEM page that will show whether it is ARCHIVELOG or NOARCHIVELOG.

to all of my questions and today i learnt something in OEM. (Something is better than nothing)

I want to create an email alert in my OEM.
That should give my DATABASE STATUS every 1 hour to my email.

Could you please tell how to configure it in OEM??
