Hi, we are migrating our oracle database server from 9i to 10g which is running under solaris 5.8. We have our application programs running in PRO*C. Pls let me know if there could be any potential impacts during the migration process (or) post migration.
Also let me know if there is any additional info required from us.

Hi all,
Can someone pls let me know if there cud be any issues or Impacts while migrating oracle database from 9i to 10g.
Any action points need to be taken into consideration during the migration.

Well, since you didn't like the first answer, here is mine:
Yes, there might be issues. Don't update the database, it is to risky.
Of course the REAL answer you will only be able to get when you test the upgrade with your environment.

That is the reason we have PROD environment and at least a DEV/TEST environment.
People are used to asking questions for sure without doing research or at least try to test it in your DEV environment. And this is the sole purpose of having a DEV environment.
And here is the answer ... there are no issues since I have done this. BUT ... Your Mileage May Vary.
