My company is running 2 separate version of oracle, 9i and 10g for different purposes. I found that 9i is very stable but 10g keep creating connection problem, the auto email message as follow:
Name=OMERP
Type=Database Instance
Host=ssomerp
Metric=Status
Timestamp=Jul 27, 2009 2:43:47 PM SGT
Severity=Critical
Message=Failed to connect to database instance: ORA-12519: TNS:no appropriate service handler found (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach).
Rule Name=Database Availability and Critical States
Rule Owner=SYSMAN
I need to restart my oracle services every times the problem occur, and this happen quite frequent (about once a week). Anyone has the idea why this is happening and how to solve it?
Thanks
