i was wonder one can go by get a notification email from the system when refresh group is compeleted refreshing the MVs.

I don't know of an automatic way of doing it. If you're refeshing them manually then you could add a call to Utl_Mail at the emd of the refresh code.

@BlackSwan - thanks for another totaly help free post.
I wonder if you could point to the parts of the posting guidelines that you feel the OP failed to comply with?
