Dear All,

I am facing some problem. I have the database on Solaris which is in size approx 500GB. Currently I am backing up that db using RMAN backup files at /u01/rman_weekly/ location.

Sometimes my level 0 backup failed due to insufficient disk space. I have approx 200 GB space in another location i.e. /backup.

So I want to rman backup in continuity on both location. i.e. if the rman backup started and if the space is not available on the location /u01/rman_weekly/ then new backup file after that point should be create on new location i.e. at /backup

So can some tell me is it possible or not. if yes then can tell me how is it ?

Thanks in Advance

If you are wanting RMAN to backup to a location based off of available disk space, then you'd have to script that outside of RMAN.
