Oracle 10gR2 on Solaris 10.
There is a storage device which is configured on RAID5 presents the entire 1TB disk as a single disk c1t0d0 to the host.In this case how can i use it for ASM Diskgroups as there is only a single disk and no multiple disks?

That should not pose a problem. Did you choose to you External redundancy as the ASM redundancy level ?
