Hello All

We have a two node RAC Database in production which is using ASM. This needs to be restored to a test
server on a different network using a filesystem for datafiles.
There is no common netwotk for establishing any SQL/RMAN sessions (to duplicate) between production and
test server but RMAN backups can be transferred to test server by using a kind
of USB device.

Could anyone share a detailed procedure to achieve this please.

Thanks

A simple search on this forum would have revealed this which is literally several posts down from your post.

Please note that as there is no common netwotk for establishing any SQL/RMAN sessions (to duplicate) between production and
test server, I cannot use RMAN commands such as
rman target <USER>/<PASS>@<TARGET> AUXILIARY <USER>/<PASS>
DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE TO .

Thanks

Copy the files to a local filesytem in the other network
and restore using RMAN (instead of duplicate).
Check docs for restoring to a new host.
Apply the same principles using "set new".
There are many examples in this forum and web.
