Hello Good Morning..

when am trying to connect to the oracle database (8.1.6.0.0) using
remote database link from oracle database(10.2.0.1.0), its giving error like "ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported."

pl help me , to resolve this issue.

a version too far.
V8.1.6 can not talk to V10.2

thanks for the quick reply.

how can i resolve this? we just have to create new database of version 8i/9i? no other way to resolve with existing version?

9i can talk with 10.2
If you really want to keep your 8i database, you have to create an intermediate 9i database as a relay database.

ya i have checked with 9i oracle, its working.
