Hi all,

We have to troubleshoot our application program on our client's database, so after we run the programs we would like to restore the database back to the time prior to the run. They dont have RMAN configured. I researched that DBPITR does imcomplete recovery sometimes. Could you please give me any suggestions on how we can restore the database to the prior time without having to restore the full database?

Very ambiguous requirement which makes no sense.
Restore traditionally means wiping the existing the database.
If you can rephrase the question, may be we can understand what you are looking into.
May be you can restore to another node (without or without RMAN) and do the testing there.
If this is just a small schema, you can export and import it elsewhere and test it there.

I used flashback database and restored the database to the scn prior to the program was run
