I hope to upderstand more for the column stale_stats and STATTYPE_LOCKED in table DBA_TAB_STATISTICS.

from http://www.praetoriate.com/data_dictionary/dd_dba_tab_statistics.htm

The description as

STATTYPE_LOCKED
Description of DBA_TAB_STATISTICS.STATTYPE_LOCKED: "type of statistics lock"
STALE_STATS
Description of DBA_TAB_STATISTICS.STALE_STATS: "Whether statistics for the object is stale or not"

based on what condition we can decide the object is stale or not?

also if the object statistics is locked, the object status can't be missed?

In EM , from database "Server" tab, "Manage Optimizer
Statistics" "Object Statistics" , looks object status are listed as "Analyzed" "Missing" "lock" "stale" , what are relationship for these status?

Thanks,
