Hi,

Just need a piece of information.


I am taking care of the production databases in Telecomm doomain, and going to move in a different vertical of Retail and transportation bussiness and will be taking care of the databases.

Just wanted to know from the experienced guys do I have to take up a different strategy for handling retail and transportation databases as a DBA, apart from the backup retention policies and high avilability option?

The database does not know or care anything about the actual data stored it in.
