Hello Everybody

I have a requirement to perform backup / restore drill separately from the production environment, I have the rman full backup plus arhivelogs. Now i need to restore it on a separate machine.

So my questions are:

  1. Is it possible to do so?
  2. How do i achieve this?

>Is it possible to do so?
Yes, for those who know what to do.
>How do i achieve this?
Follow your documented & tested recovery procedures.

Actual steps depend upon OS name & version, Oracle version & how backups were actually completed.

I have disk based backups
Everyday i take a full online rman backup.
And at the end of every month i just want to test this backup restore drill over a separate machine. Since this drill is a recommended way by oracle to test our backups.

I just need the reference URL for that, can you please share
